Strange Ammo?

I have 2 weapons that use MF breeder ammo but I have NEVER seen any.

I'm assuming the MF Breeder means MicroFusion Breeder.

MicroFusion ammo is uncommon enough, but I'm not sure I'll be able

to get a single shot off with the MF Breeder fed guns.

Where is it? Does it even exist?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Micro breeder ammo is basicly the ammo assigned to weapons that dont use ammo and regenerate like the Recharger rifle.

For all weapons that use MF Breeder ammo, just equip the weapon. You can then watch on your HUD as it charges up (slowly) and fills its clip to maximum.

There are times in the game where if you are charging a recharger weapon and then open a trade with a vendor or companion you might see some Breeder ammo in your inventory. I think it's just luck of the draw at what instant you open the trade window. Usually you never see it apart from the weapon.

Also, Breeder weapons only work for the player, not for companions.

AFAIK there are only two Breeder weapons in the standard game: a Rifle and a Pistol, and strangely the Pistol is the more powerful of the two. It's supposed to be newer tech.

Chet sometimes sells a Breeder rifle, its a crap weapon but it is as good as a laser pistol and early on if you are an energy weapons person you can keep it repaired with kits and it will save you tons of energy cells until you need something more powerful. I am pretty sure the Silver Rush sells the Breeder pistol, its quite expensive.

The biggest downside of recharger weapons is that whenever you unequip it or sometimes even during trades or opening containers to loot, the weapon loses its whole charge, and the recharging is slow. For this reason it's always better to use a different weapon if you are looting a lot of containers and there are enemies nearby.
