How do vampires get into Whiterun?

Always felt the Dawnguard DLC was a little too focused or rushed if you will . It seems when it starts you have to do the entire quest line or many NPC will be killed due to attacks at every turn in the game. That an like it or not Serana is with you most of the time hence you do the quest or have her casting spells and raising the dead again at every turn  . There are times when you can dismiss her but it seems she will wander Skyrim and only through console commands can you find her she can be very buggy.

On probably my 3rd playthrough of Dawnguard I'd guess (I don't always play it) but that brings another bothersome thought to mind.

I understand that the Dawnguard are still recruiting. Thy need more people, I get it. But honestly? "Hi stranger, we're the Dawnguard. You're in! We need you to check out this secluded vampire den. Back up? Oh, no. We're all staying here to redecorate our enormous empty castle. Good luck."

Guess I'll just go see what Farkas is up to.

lol +1

I'm always like, "well thank the nine I brought Inigo with me, ya buncha slackers. Useless as tits on a boar hog." And they are too. When they finally do man up and join in battle, I kinda wish they would have stayed home.
