Does plugy work for the steam version of Oblivion?

i keep getting this error every couple of seconds when i run oblivion:

 

Loversbackup2
Pluggy installation not found
Loversbackup2 will not function

 

i looked up in forums and they said that plugy was needed to fix this. This works for obse. the steam version of oblivion doesnt need obse but i went ahead and got that and pluggy and its still not working. i feel dumb for asking for help but its really making me feel stupid for not being able to fix this.

Pluggy is an OBSE plugin, so it works where OBSE works, including Steam environment.

 

So your problem is likely to be with installing one of them.

 

I've seen a lot of threads asking help with installing OBSE with Steam, so I guess there is some not so obvious installation step that people miss. Look for those threads for the answer (Steam is not my case, so I cannot help here)
