rojo8401
Hi all. Figured I'd finally join the Nexus after lurking for many moons. I started my TES career with Oblivion when it came out a few years ago and fell instantly in love. Originally I bought it for PC but once the PS3 version came out I switched over to my living room armchair and my plasma. I still play sometimes on the PC when I notice a mod that looks interesting but it's hard to go from a 46 inch high def back down to a 26 inch CRT! Played Dungeons & Dragons and other table top RPGs before the days of video games so I'm pretty much a fantasy addict (yes I love Tolkien). I admire many of the modders that frequent these forums even though I'm a front end guy myself (corporate web designer by profession). The only coding I do is HTML, CSS and Flash so i don't think that I'm of much help unless you need Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver help. Animation and 3d modelling are interesting so I might just make the plunge and start learning even though I'm lazy and complacent by nature. Happy to be here! -rojo8401

bben46
It's not difficult to put your computer screen on the big TV. I do it all of the time. Mostly when I have friends over to watch a (American) football game. Use a DVI to HDMI adapter and a long HDMI cable. My adapter has an input for audio, so that gets put onto the HDMI, and as I run it through my audio amp, the audio is tapped off there and fed to my main speakers. My computer is right beside my TV watching easy chair so keyboard & mouse are right there, But my wireless KB & mouse have a good range, and I could use an extension for the receiver to get it closer - so I could actually run the computer in another room if needed. Result, Oblivion on a 52 inch screen with full surround sound. Many newer video cards have an HDMI output now so you might not need the adapter. PM me if you need a source for inexpensive HDMI cables & adapters - Retail price on those is insane.
