Game crashing after Mechanist mission

Just completed everything in the Mechanist's lair, and upon leaving back into the commonwealth, the game terminates. No error windows, no indication of what is wrong.

 

I've spent the last hour turning mods on and off, trying to find out where the problem is, but have had no luck.

Any assistance, or info as where the problem might be would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it's a problem with your mod list, this is a common issue people have been having with Automatron. Have a look at County Crossing Crash Fix, this should fix the problem at least until it's properly patched.
