My game crashes when i try to make a new game...

Idk why this happens but when I try to make a new game everytime I skip the cutscene then it goes to the docs house. Then he says "oh your awake" and then my mods notifications go off. Then after continuing through all of them doc says one more thing the screen freezes then the game crashes. This happens everytime i try to make a new game and it makes me mad. can anyone help me out?

1. If you have any mods in your load order that you aren't running, get rid of them. It creates instability in between mods for whatever reason, because the game is still recognizing that mod in your load order even if it is not active.

 

2. Run BOSS. I didn't have full faith in it the first time I used it, but it will definitely bring up any potential conflicts.

 

3. You SERIOUSLY need to re-order your ESMs and ESPs. There is an article regarding how to conduct your load order...I don't have the exact link but Google around until you find it.

 

After that, you should be ok. Make sure you are doing fresh cell-cleared (Wait 72 hours) saves or new games if need be anytime you are trying something brand new to get past the beginning. I know it sucks, but it pays out well once you figure it out.

Well I ran BOSS so this should be the ideal load order i guess. Fresh cell-cleared? Ill try your first option :P see if that works

Strange... did you update the BOSS master list recently and check for the latest version of your various mods?

 

Tho you have a lot of mods that I don't, I noticed right away the late position of your DarNifiedUINV esp. BOSS has always put that one at the beginning of my esp load order, ahead of companion sandbox, sunglasses shipment, populated casinos and NV bounties (ones we do have in common).

 

Also noticed that you seem to be running an old version of better game performance (V3, the latest is V4 - the mod description page says that V4 fixes some stability issues in V3). Similar to my darn ui comment, and tho I haven't run that mod for awhile, I'm positive BOSS detects that esp and puts it last.

NVR was crashing me, personally, whenever I tried to make a new game after the patch. Try disabling it. May not be your problem, but worth a try.
