jjk999
Steam is currently downloading huge files connected to Fallout New Vegas right now. I don't know why and I can'f find information about it. It downloaded a 2 gig chunk and is now downloading another 2gig chunk as I type this (dec 31, 8:30 am). I am looking all over for what's going on and there is no info about an update but several people are having trouble getting their game to work. So check steam to see if it is currently downloading New Vegas related files. If it is NOT downloading stuff try your game again. If your game still does not work - then: goto steam library. Right click on game, select properties. Go to local files tab Select verify integrity of game cache. Steam will take a minute or so to check the game for missing files and will re download whatever is missing. Jeoshua
Anyone have any information on what that file could be? I really don't like the idea of Steam downloading that much information and not telling us ANYTHING about what's happening. And people wonder why there are so many Steam-haters out there. Or why some people can't seem to make the game work correctly when they mod it. It's almost like Steam doesn't give a crap what the person who bought the game wants it to do, they just care about constantly pushing the original files at the end-user like they aren't smart enough to keep it working themselves. True, some people AREN'T smart enough, but it would be nice to be able to tell it to shut the hell up and let me be smarter than the average bear.
