lanceuppercut47
am trying to change a script that is part of a night vision mod, at the moment it turns on inside which i don't want. i know where in the script to change this behaviour however when i edit said script, it creates a duplicate0000 entry with a new form id and leaves the original there??! what the? lanceuppercut47
the duplicate only appears if i load the original and the modded ESP up, but if i don't load the original, the other parts of the mod don't get loaded up either. its so confusing :(
Korodic
The duplicate appears probably because you saved your modded esp. or maybe even created something with the same name of that script, but then loaded the other guy's mod later, which could possibly automatically rename that one script. Try editing the duplicated script and saving it. If it doesn't create another duplicate then you can assign that script to the helmet instead. lanceuppercut47
i'm giving up, it doesn't seem to be at all user friendly, i try something that should logically work but doesn't.
Korodic
wanna watch my tutorial vids? It's a work in progress, but it'll help you understand some geck talk ;)
NorthWolf
The behavior you're describing sounds like you're loading things strangely. If nothing else you can always use FNVEdit to force the new mod's script to override the previous record by changing its form ID.
