spell reflection question

G'day everyone, i have a couple of questions i've not been able to find out for myself.

If i cast a spell at someone who can (and does) reflect the spell at me; do i automatically take the hit? Or does my magick resistance or spell absorption have a chance to negate it?

Also if they successfully reflect a ranged spell, does it bounce off straight at me or do they take the hit but the damage is automatically given to me.

cheers

I'm not sure about reflecting a reflected spell, but I do know that when a ranged spell is reflected it doesn't visually "bounce off", it just sends the damage back to you. This also happens with heal target spells because when I try to heal companions who have high spell reflect it often only heals me and is really annoying.

cheers guys,

the big one i am wondering about is playing under the atronach with my absorption bumped up to 100.

i am interested to know if i will be protected by my spell absorption. It would be like the game saying:

"oh, your spell didn't work, but because you were born under the best birthsign i'll let you have your magicka back and you can try again"

Ah, I see what you're saying. So, if you have high absorption and a spell is reflected off your target then you get your magika back and it pretty much makes an enemy's spell reflect fruitless. I will try this awesome idea tomorrow for sure... cheers.
