Freezing with new update (vanilla game)

I've been getting freezes occasionally when entering VATS. Not using any mods at the moment, playing the new survival beta. I never saw it happen before the update. Anyone know a fix or something to try? I doubt it's a memory problem, I have 6gb vram 32gb physical.
