wuwuwuwuwu
Whenever you fasttravel to or sleep at a settlement, the game will spawn the settlers based on what they are assigned to do. For me, this leads more often than not to caravans and provisioners to spawn in my bedroom, since my bedroom happens to be on the path the game has chosen those NPCs to follow. With the GECK comming out soon, I'd like to ask if someone can figure out a way to prevent NPCs from spawning in certain areas. dainsgames
That would be sweet. Nothing's more immersion-breaking than seeing a full pack Brahma in a tiny room with a doorway they couldn't possibly fit through. Some suggestions- have traders spawn on their paths at the edge of the settlement and have settlers spawn at their assigned work areas or beds. Unassigned settlers should spawn at the bell or recruitment beacon.
wuwuwuwuwu
I think the easiest way would be to disable the spawns on objects like crafted floors and such. Though the settlers should still be able to walk over the floors, so simply disabling the navmesh would be a pretty lackluster approach. It should also not limit companions in any way.
