rifle274
Is there a mod to make your character smile or look sad or something? I'm getting of the -_- face hahaIt would be nice if it's a permanent mod, I remember there was one for oblivion but you had to toggle that every time you played. rjhelms84
You can create a new character preset in the Geck. Design your character there and you can make him smile there. If you try to edit the preset in-game though, at character selection, you might lose the smile though. Do you have any experience in the GECK? rifle274
None at all, I think it's the editor for fallout.I'm in a professional mod team for another engine, so I should be able to figure it out.If I download it could you tell me what section/tutorial I should look for? Like "animation tab" or something.

rjhelms84
Okay, open up the Geck. Go to File -> Data, and check the box in front of FalloutNV.esm and click okay. Allow the files to load. It might look likes it's crashed for a minute, but just leave it until it loads up, as it hasn't really crashed. Now, there are three windows. Look at the one on the left the Object Window, and type "preset" into the filter. Scroll down to the bottom of the list on the left and select "All". Now you should have a list of the preset NPCs. Each one is called CGPresetCaucasianF01, and so forth. Right-click on one you want to edit, and click Edit. For example, open CaucasianM02, for the second male Caucasian character preset. This will open the NPC window, where you can edit all aspects of a character. Now, scroll along the tabs (such as Traits, Stats, Factions, etc) until you see Face Advanced. Click onto that tab. Now scroll down until you see Mouth -- Happy/Sad. Click on it. Then drag the slider up to increase the smile. You can also edit the other fields on Face and Face Advanced, to get your character how you want him/her. If you want to change the sex, go to the Traits tab and check the female box. When you're happy with it, edit the ID field of the NPC (in the top left corner of the whole window). And change the number to 11, so if you're editing a caucasion male, you change the end to 11 or to whatever, so you're creating a new NPC, rather than over-writing the defaults. Then click Okay. Then go to File -> Save, in the top menu. Create a new name for your mod, call it something like Smiler.esp, and make sure you're saving it in your default Data directory, with the other esm and esp files. Now close the Geck. It might appear to crash again, but that's normal. Just keep clicking the X or terminate it in Task Manager until it goes. (It can be a buggy program, but you get used to it, and how to handle it.) Now load your esp in FOMM, and play game. Start a new game, or open your console (`) and type ShowRaceMenu and press enter, then close console (`), to change your character. rjhelms84
If you do struggle at all, let me know. If you really struggle, I'll just do it for you if you want. I'm sure you'll do it easy though.
rifle274
I saw that first part "Go to File -> Data, and check the box in front of FalloutNV.esm and click okay." in another tutorial too, but when I do that nothing happens lol. The other tutorial said there was supposed to be a loading bar or something, but I don't get nothing.I can still navigate the menus and stuff, so it's probably not loading. NorthWolf
Are you using the newest (v1.4) version of the GECK?
