Dinishte
So I've been a wide-eyed fan of this site for years now and it has never ceased to amaze me. I didn't even know forums existed for it since I spent so many hours admiring the thousands and thousands of mods. I've been on and off premium (budget depending) and still haven't posted until now. But this issue I'm running into is bad enough to make me want to uninstall Fallout 4 entirely some days. I read every mod before I download it (and sometimes check the comments section to ensure quality or clarify questions) but I've still hit a few here and there that don't mesh. I simply work with it and move on. But lately I've had an issue that doesn't seem to have a singular issue as it has occurred with a myriad of setups. I will occasionally CTD which is not a huge deal except it freezes everything. The whole laptop locks up to a black screen. I CTRL+ALT+DEL and the screen stays black but shows a mouse cursor. No options. No matter how many times I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL (I really miss the OLD days where that would override nearly ANYTHING and multiple hits would simply reboot the computer). I have to close my laptop, wait for it to go silent, and then open it. I can then get access to the lock screen allowing me to select Task Manager. I then get a black screen with my windows bar on the bottom only. FO4 "visually" overrides anything I select so I have to hover over the icon for Task Manager, hover over the "preview" and it shows up so I can use the keyboard to hit "F" for Fallout and then ALT+E to end it. That, sadly, isn't the worst part! Worse still, when I reboot the laptop (if I run FO4 again without a reboot, it just crashes instantly) and I load the game, it says I have NO add-ons despite all being enabled. I then need to turn on NMM, disable ALL the add-ons, then click them one by one to re-enable all of them. THEN I can go back to playing my game. Is this in any way normal? I get the CTD I suppose, my laptop is from 2012 yet still runs the game on "High" graphics despite occasional struggles with heavy rain + explosions. But the add-on issue I cannot fathom. Any help would be greatly appreciated because it's tiresome to continuously re-enable these almost every single day. A new laptop just isn't feasible right now either so I'm stuck with the aforementioned crashing.
nacibatuhankucuk
While modding, espcieally adding a new mod with wrong order or override settings, etc. Or i realy push game and and my hardware software too hard, also my FO4 crashes weirly similiar to you described, btw i'm using win10, i can switch my between programs but cannot see expect taskbar, then i singout my user then simply login. its the fastest way to restart your processes. if you cannot reach start menu or metro ui try shortcut which is win+L that locks your account and brings user switch screen, then u may logout your user at that screen. P.S: By saying pushing game, hardware and software i mean quickly switching between programs running multiple high task prorams same time which overloads cpu. Even though I have i7 4790k runs at 4.4Ghz and GTX970, that could happen, because all the program we use is not perfect, and we cannot expect all those hardwares softwares run flawsess because almost everysingle part of them made or product from different companies. I'm not a fan but this is the reason why iOS, and Mac OS run almost perfect expect rare occaosins.
