[Question] How to make an NPC always use his weapon?

I've created a boss for my pleasure (and maybe others'?), but I cannot make it use it's weapon.

The boss is actually an NPC and it's height is huge :D

I added him a weapon and ammo, but when I attack it he just uses unarmed attack instead of shooting me..

So how can I make it use it's weapon and start shooting me?

If a skeleton does not have attack animations for a given weapon type, an npc using that skeleton will not use weapons of that type.
