An unexpected problem...

OK, I don't know if this problem has been addressed before - but all of the key words I tried to use didn't yield the results I'm after.

 

What I've done sofar:

I've made a new texture for the skingrad two sister's lodge sign - so instead of 'two sister's lodge' it now says 'the Caustic Cauldron" for my new shop. I've got my new texture and normal map all saved where they need to be saved in the data folder. I've worked it out in Nifskope, replaced the 1 texture that needed to be replaced (yay, it shows up in Nifskope!) and added it to the construction set (yay it's there and looks awesome!).

 

Load up the game to see what it looks like....

 

The Problem:

The sign doesn't seem to be attached to the post. I didn't mess with anything else, i.e. added new meshes and what not. I only replaced the one texture (and yes, the texture is fine in game). Now, there's probably some really silly simple thing in Nifskope I forgot to do, but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out! Please - how do I attach the sign to the post?

 

P.S. What i've done is similar to the cswiki retex tutorial using the same sign.

Try viewing the sign in-game with a character who has never been to Skingrad and never seen the sign before. Sometimes changes to a savegame made by a mod show up late or never show up.

 

I once had a problem where I rearranged the buildings in a village and all the signs were flapping around in the second story windows and making a lot of noise instead of hanging from the sign holders.

Thanks for the reply! I've had similar problems with housing mods (food strewn about everywhere) and fixed it like you've stated. But sadly, 4 different saves later (and 1 is brand new created and has never been anywhere) and the sign still is lying on ground. It's weird b/c the sign is all one mesh just different textures so I'm wondering if something (unintentionally) happened in Nifskope when I replaced the new texture. I've read about 'linking' or 'attaching' certain items or nodes but the tutorial's I've found are confusing my very frustrated mind atm.
