OBGE mod problems

Hello all. I am trying to get OBGE v3 (Oblivion Graphics Extender) to work on my Steam install of Oblivion. I followed the instructions very closely and I am confident I did everything correctly. I did install OBSE first, made sure direct x was up to date. Installed OBGE v3 core using Wyre Bash. Everything went smoothly with no errors. I then installed the OBGE liquid water and OBGE stand alone effects with no errors. I have enabled them using wyre bash and double checked in the "data files" section of the oblivion menu. When I look in my inventory it says OBGE V2 under misc. (I would think this should be OBGE V3 so I'm not sure why it says V2. I never had V2 installed.) When I click on it it says close inventory to use enable. I close the inventory and no menu comes up. I also have the unofficial Oblivion patch and that works fine which I can access through the inventory also. Also a OBGE.ini file was never created in my oblivion folder. I'm not sure what's going wrong here. Thanks in advance.

OBGEv2.dll is the name of the core OBGE file. The DLL's name does not matter. The plugin is only so important. What you really need to check is that the following are installed. Make sure Steam is installed outside of the default folder or the UAC is off as well. Did you enable Steam Communities in game in your Steam settings. If not, OBSE won't work.

Thank you very much. Like toastysquirell in the other thread I did not have obse/plugin folder copied over. Once I copied it over it worked fine. I have to say no where does it mention this in the documentation. Other than that great mod from what I can see. Thanks again.

Did you have 'Skip OBSE Plugins' unchecked in Bash? If not, Bash won't install DLL files, which means it wouldn't need to make that folder for you. You can uncheck that option by right-clicking on the 'Package' header in Bash's Installers tab.

Happy gaming!
