sh23079
I'm afraid I have no clue as far as making mods myself, so I was hoping someone with experience would be able to lend a hand. I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, but it seemed the best suited to pose this question. My objective is to use the mouse for aiming and weapon selection (Razer Naga), use a Logitech G13 gamepad's buttons for various keyboard key-bindings, then use the analog stick on the G13 for movement. This essentially requires the game to recognize and accept input from three devices simultaneously; the mouse, a keyboard, and an analog stick. Before suggesting that I bind WASD to the stick, I have in fact been using the stick with WASD bindings for movement, but that is awfully frustrating and clumsy when you only have 24 movement options. (3 speeds x 8 directions) Battlefield 4 seamlessly implements this concept of multiple device input which allows analog movement from the G13 stick while also using the mouse for aiming and the G13 buttons for key-bindings, so I don't know why this is such a problem for other newer games. I am able to use a 360 controller emulator to convert the G13 analog Directinput to Xinput. I can then enable controller input in-game which allows me to move my character using the G13 analog stick, however this disables the input from the keyboard and mouse. That seems completely redundant because no one has four hands anyway. What I am seeking is a solution that leaves both the mouse and keyboard enabled while also enabling gamepad use. (360 controller or otherwise) I've spent many hours looking around for solutions online, and I have found little pieces of the puzzle, but it seems that the root of my problem at this point is simply the game itself disabling other devices while a gamepad is enabled and detected. The solution seems fairly simple in principle, but there likely isn't enough people in this same situation as I am to find a solution for this. Thanks in advance for any help!
