munkylaw
I have been trying for some time to mod FONV, but i cannot for the life of me get it done. I used the FOMM to activate the Type 3 body replacer BUT i am unable to install other mods manually. I extract the files to my data file in steam apps/common/falloutnewvegas/data etc. and they dont work. What am i doing wrong i have tried every youtube video i can find and i still cant get the mods to work. Somehow i managed to even turn all the characters purple when they have no armor or clothes. HAHA Please Help i am dumbfounded.......or maybe just dumb
calyps
Okay...I don't anything about FOMM, but I do know if you place the mod files in the data directory, then run the falloutNVlauncher then click "Data Files" then click the check boxes by the mods you want to use, that works for me. For the manual installs though, unzipping files, I use 7-ZIP. When you open your archive with 7-ZIP you may need to browse down to the level where you can see the ESP or ESM files. Unzip from that level into your SteamApps NewVegas Data folder. Some 7-ZIP archives put the ESP and ESM right at the top, but some don't, so simply unpacking a 7Z file into the Data folder might not work. You have to make sure the ESP and ESM files end up in Data, then anything below that goes to the right sub-folders. Hope that makes sense.
