Bonesz
So I installed Wryebash for Oblivion and I just can't get it to start. When I open the launcher, I get the UAC asking if I'm sure that I want to open it. I say yes and then nothing happens. It works just fine with Fallout 3 and NV, but I just can't get it to work for Oblivion. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? Thank you! Tomlong54210
Reinstall Oblivion outside of the default folder (Program Files). Install it to C:\Games or something. The UAC is going to cause plenty of issues if the game remains in that folder. You could also turn off the UAC, but that's clearly not as safe, albeit much simpler.... Also, make sure you installed Wrye Python 4a before installing Wrye Bash. --Tomlong54210
Bonesz
I do have Oblivion installed to C:\Games\Oblivion
Tomlong54210
That's weird. Why is the UAC interfering then? By launcher, you do mean the PYW file and not the installer for Bash, right? Are you sure Bash detected your Oblivion install correctly. Bash is installed to the Oblivion folder, so the UAC shouldn't be bothering you there... It kind of sounds like Python isn't installed and Windows doesn't know what it is. I'd have to see the error message to determine that, but you can quickly check to see if Python is installed. --Tomlong54210 'Edit: Shoot, you said it's working for Fallout. I'm on my way to bed. Bonesz
Thank you. The thread you posted was closed, but I found the new one and posted in it. I could just turn the UAC off, but I'm not about to do that. Last time I did, I regretted it big time, lol.

They usually respond pretty quickly there, but it's early in the day. There is more traffic there in the evenings and over the weekend. --Tomlong54210
