kierangquinn Posted April 28, 2016 Share Posted April 28, 2016 Wassup New here to nexus mods - encountered my first issue already. Correct me if i'm wrong but do i NEED windows 10 to download NMM? Once i get to the end of the download i am getting a message about networkframes. I'm more of a playstation gamer so the world of mods is new to me. There is an older legacy version for WinXP.The .net framework is a part of Windows and the latest version is not available on XP - that is one reason for the legacy version. If you have Win7 and have neglected your windows updates, It's going to b a long day. One old update that is required for the newest .net framework is a 5 year old update named SP1.Required means it just ain't gonna work without it. :sad:You get the MS updates from the MS update site. The legacy version will NOT work with FO4 as it is made using a newer version of the game engine. It will work with earlier Bethsoft games such as Skyrim FO3 and New Vegas.
