Fallout Nv wont launch after mods

I have fallout 3 & fallout 4, also fallout new vegas, I tried to mod fallout new vegas in the past, and failed. Now even after multipe installs (including deleting all old files) it still wont launch? gets to the screen where it says "play fallout new vegas" or reinstall & uninstall ??

Rename or delete the INI files in your "C:\Users\<YourAccountName>\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV" folder. (This is the usual problem people overlook when they can't get a re-install to work correctly.) Then have Steam "verify game files" and launch the game with Steam. There after you can run the game with Steam in "offline" mode and with NVSE and/or FNV4GB. That should get you to where you can get the vanilla game to start.

 

Then follow the install sequence laid out by the "Fear and Loathing" page of the STEP project. Do one mod at a time and test it thoroughly before installing another. Take your time. Rushing it just causes more problems like you had before.

Hi, thanks for the response, I have tried this and fresh installed again (8th time) and it wont launch? I have deleted all existence of Nexus & FOMM and no luck, I just want the game back to completely standard and to start again, I can't seem to do this as it still wont launch after multiple fresh installs, Fallout 3 & 4 are both working perfectly fine as well as every other game & I have only tried to mod Fallout NV so I know it's something Ive done but can't figure out what. :/

 

Any suggestions how to get it back to completely fresh? would be MASSIVELY appreciated :)

Getting this error when Launching Via "NVlauncher.exe"

That error indicates the game launcher is attempting to access memory that has not been assigned to it. This might be the result of "Data Execution Prevention" (DEP). You can configure this (basic instructions here). Note this implemented in hardware and you may need to research how your hardware vendor implemented it (some set it in BIOS).

 

What version of Windows are you running (to include 32 or 64-bit)?

 

Do you meet the game minimum requirements?

 

Do you have more than 4GB of system RAM?

 

Where do you have Steam installed? If to the default of "C:\Program Files", read the article "Installing Games on Windows Vista+" in my sig, and move it.
