slow loot and chest/cask inventory load

Hey everyone... I have Oblivion running GREAT, no stutter, hardly any crashes, and my own inventory and spell menus are zippity quick...however when I loot a body or a chest, etc, it takes a LONG TIME to load, even if there is only one item in the chest. Im using DarkIUD Darn 1.6, and like I said other than the looting its working perfectly. Just wondering if anyone knows a reason. Thanks!

This can be a problem with UI mods, which doesn't just mean DarN. This could be a keychain thing, a sorter thing and hotkey thing as well. Those are all UI-changing mods. See if you have any that need updating. Try deactivating any of those bags, inventory things.

 

...what is that Frame Rate Optimizer thing. Isn't that the old mod that was long ago superseded by Streamline? Just install Streamline 31.b and configure it properly and you'll get frame rate optimization and PCB: http://tescosi.com/wiki/Oblivion:Configuring_Streamline

Hey there, I got rid of the Bag of Holding, still no change. Its not a gamebreaker or anything, just annoying, but I wonder if Harvest could be the culprit.

 

I use Streamline, I just had it off at the time. I find that the frame rate optimizer is MUCH better dealing with settings on the fly, at least on my system. Also, Advanced Timekeeper has PCB.

The reason why it takes long to load any container is because you have way too many things in your inventory.

 

When you open a container, your inventory is opened too, which is the cause of the prolonged load.
