urcousinvinnie5 Posted April 29, 2016 Share Posted April 29, 2016 So i was trying to install Project Nevada after I changed the directory to my D: drive (which is 1TB, not even half full mind you) and after some complications, I deleted all files for FNV and uninstalled then reinstalled the game for a fresh start on steam. I installed the mod manager and played a bit. But when i tried to install PN it gave me this error. A problem occured during install: The execution has failed due to a bug in the SevenZipSharpPlease report about it to (link to sevenzipsharp) post the release number and attach the archive.The mod was not installed. dubiousintent Posted April 29, 2016 Share Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) That error is for the mod developer to report, not an end-user like yourself. It's pretty generic for "Unhandled error. No idea what went wrong". "SevenZipSharp" is a "wrapper" in C# language for the 7zip API, used for installation programs. It requires 7zip be installed separately. (It will also work with RAR.) So I would look to your 7zip installation as most everyone else doesn't seem to have this problem. (There have been some reports, but no solutions I could find other than "read and follow the install instructions in the ReadMe carefully".) You should also check that you have all the PN files and patches, and install them in the correct order. Is 7zip installed in a folder that is in your search path? (To check, drop into the "command prompt" while in the game folder and enter "7z -?". You should then see a list of command line options for "7z". If so, then the game should be able to find it when necessary. If not, try re-installing.) If you recently updated 7zip then it's possible it is no longer compatible with "SevenZipSharp" for some reason. See if the previous version gets around the problem. If you have an old version of 7zip, try upgrading. The install program may have caused a Windows error message to be created. Check your "Event Viewer" (under "Start" button | "All Programs" | "Administrative Tools") in both the "System" and "Applications" events for other clues. -Dubious- Edited April 29, 2016 by dubiousintent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I should also explain that i managed to download PN perfectly but it was when i tried to activate it when the installation stopped and i clicked on the red cross sign on the side which gave me this message.
