crossdressinate
I recently bought FNV on Steam during the sale and I got FOMM and installed it, when I try to install NVSE, any other mod or update FOMM I get this: Something bad seems to have happened. As long as it wasnt too bad, a crash dump will have been saved in C:\User\xxx\documents\FOMM\crashdump.txt Please include the contents of that file if you want to make a bug report. and when i go to the crashdump.txt and open it it comes up with this. Monday, July 11, 2011 - 8:33:20 PMFomm 0.13.21OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Version..ctor(String version) at Fomm.MainForm.checkForUpdateToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEventInteractive(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEvent(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) I've reinstalled FOMM many times and it still comes up. Gribbleshnibit8
For starters, the Update button on FoMM will cause the program to crash every time. The file and/or server it's looking for don't exist, and the program can't handle that, so it crashes. You might also have an issue with FoMM crashing for seemingly no reason. It appears to be a bug in the newest version, getting an older version from the Sourceforge page here might solve the issue. FoMM also doesn't install anything but mods. Any of the menu options in it (with the exception of the parts of the tools menu) are handled by externally installed programs. So you would need to get NVSE from here. crossdressinate
Sorry I'm quite new to Fallout modding as well as the FOMM that supports both FO3 and FNV. I'm used to using the FOMM for just FO3 so I never got the directory setup. I'm guessing that placing the mod directory and install info is common sense but I want to be 100% sure now so I don't have to redo anything. I'm using the last FOMM before the current update now btw. I'm guessing mod directory goes in "steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\data" or just "common\FNV?" And Install info shouldn't really matter?
