so this is an idea for a quest mod. i might get a bit wordy here but the tldr of it is that

 

,the institute wins

,you wake 1 year later

,escape form an institute prison

,and have to fight a much more powerful version of the institute by yourself

 

if youre still reading then here is a more detailed description.

during the final main quest for minutemen, brotherhood, or railroad, things dont go to plan( one idea for this is that as soon as you enter fathers apartment area you get gassed or knocked out by a courser) you wake up a year later in an institute run prison for "disobediant citizens" and discover that the commonwealth has been taken over, downtown boston has been cleared of any abominitatons or raiders, and is being turned back into a place for people to live, the surrounding areas are relativly untouched, except except for your settlements, they have been wiped out, the structures and furniture would stay tthe same of course, the quest to fight the institute could be started when you get a radio signal about fighting the institute and suggest a location to go to to help the fight, i havent thoght the rest out as much but it goes a little like this, : blah blah blah gurrilla warfare, blah blah blah plan to infiltrate headquarters, blah blah blah nuke or timetravel,

 

alright, i think thats everything, ill update when i think more if the quest itself through
