"Download with NMM" clicked but nothing happens.

I am trying to download the Homemaker mod but downloading does not take place.

In the game's preps.ini file bEnablefile Selection=1

In the .ini file I used notepad to add all those extra entries to sResourceDataDirsfinal=STRINGS\.

I got a message "plug in txt is read only file so can't be managed by NMM. Would you like to make it

not read only?" I said yes.

It also somewhere states SK must not be used. No idea what this means.

My son installed NMM for me yesterday but there is obviously something wrong.

Help needed PLEASE.
