Companions and doors problem

Hello. I made a house mod. First everything worked well. Then this: when I get out of my house through the door, I show up at the right place (door's yellow teleport marker) but the companions show up like hundred meters away and have to run at my location. The place they show up is always the same place, but there is nothing special about that specific place I could find in GECK. Teleport marker is where it should be. There is enough space for everyone and navmesh is ok. I load my mod last: no help. Find nothing in FNVedit. After I exit the game and come back, door works fine at first. But after I go somewhere else and then come back to my house and then get out of there, companions are teleporting to the wrong place again. Vanilla companions and mod companions do the same thing.

So does anyone have any kind of idea what it could be?

in your navmesh, is there a green triangle where your teleport marker is / should be...? if not, try to finalize it (the navmesh :-)

Thanks for suggestion but I already checked that. There was a green triangle at the teleport marker. I tried to finalize it again just in case and I even moved the teleport marker around + finalized navmesh but the problem persists. I show up wherever the marker is but companions show up always in that same wrong place. :wallbash:

i sometimes experienced behaviour like that when the green teleport-triangle was either to small or in a too tight spot (with static objects too close around) - so if that's the case on your navmesh, you could try to adapt your navmesh in a way so you get an as big as possible triangle as close as possible to your teleport and refinalize (or remove too close objects, if that's it), this always did it for me. (don't know if there's a way to manually define the teleport triangle, haven't found any yet, so if anybody knows about one, please tell)

ah yes and one more thing that makes stuff like that happen: if you have your teleport in a space big enough for, say, two characters, and you teleport there with five followers, this will as well send your followers well straight to hell or whereever the engine considers the next big enough space to fit all of them in (and i wouldn't say it acts too smart on choosing that location, seems to go more for navmesh triangles than visible objects)

Thanks again, I tried that. No succes. I made the green triangle bigger or huge and the triangles around it. I moved the teleport marker again around and messed with the triangles. Weird thing is that the teleport marker works perfectly until go to another cell or fast travel somewhere. I have tried moving the map marker too and I have also tried disabling all other mods. Next I might try moving the entire house to a different place or just give up. Edited by Cirandel

i'm still pretty sure that must be some navmesh issue. hm... any z-overlapping triangles? (try navmesh only view) and how about the borders?

no idea really... but sure gonna post as soon as i've any better idea :-)

Thanks to you two I have found two solutions!

First I can't believe I didn't try that ESM flag before because it works!

Second: Deleting all the navmesh and doing it again. After I made the file esm I looked at the 'overwrite list' that appeared and there was lot's of stuff about navmesh. I was curious so I took the ESP and removed everything related to navmesh and did it all in GECK. And after that the door teleporter worked great! So you were correct stevie70, it was the navmesh. Even though I have no idea what was wrong with the previous navmesh. But there is an another problem with the new ESP I made: if I stay in Goodsprings outside area for more than 30 seconds my game freezes. Every single time. :wallbash:

But that's another problem (at least know it's the navmesh) and I can always use the ESM I made.
