Poacher886
This is a new experience for me in games.... I have a decent spec PC 290x etc etc All settings maxed out @ 1440p. I've had the game from release, but waited for the Survival mode to become official before playing it, thus yesterday was my first outing....after appearing out of vault 111 for the first time, i stood on the entrence and looked around me enjoying a clear sharp picture which was actually better graphically then i thought it would be...then.... ..i walked off and instantly the distant scenery had a sort of white haze / blurr or even micro stutter ( i dont use Xfire) about it. I stop and the scenery is crystal clear again!, i walk and once again the slighly out of focus haze is apparent again. Its most noticable on something like fence mesh. So this is something i've never seen before, and is well annoying from the off, any thoughts as to the culprit??
ousnius
This is caused by the Temporal Anti-Aliasing method the game (and lots of other new games) makes use of.It makes things all smooth. And also blurry. You can turn it off in the settings, but your only other option for AA is FXAA there, which is also blurry.Things like ENB and SweetFX/Reshade come with different types of AA and you can also increase the sharpness of the game there. Poacher886
Thanks for the quick reply, i tested TXAA and indeed you are correct this is the culprit, as you also mention, its the lesser of the two evil's!! I'll guess i have to get used to it....Gee, the sort the flickering graphics and replace it with blurred vision!!!! One day they will get it right!!! now i just have to get mods working Lol.....
