cadaverking
I have a particularly vexing problem: While most of the mods I recently installed have worked fine, none of the textures that the mods are supposed to introduce actually appear in-game. It has been suggested to me that I must not have enabled archive invalidation or failed to set up my .ini for modding, but they appear to be one and the same thing, and as far as I can tell, I have done it already, following the instructions found here. Here are copies of both my default and custom .ini files. Note that I had to create fallout4Custom.ini. This was happening several days ago, and has happened both before and after bethesda brutalised mod support in the latest patch. I am rather bemused by this point, and any assistance you could provide would be most appreciated.
cokonut
One thing I noticed in the plugins.txt file (located c:\users\username\appdata\local\fallout4) contains an * in front of the mods, don't know if that was there before. You could check that and see if any of your mods do not have the *. For me they all have and they work.Regarding the textures I have the same.NMM is installing it and shows it is installed and active, but no textures show up in the game. After some digging I see they are there in the ' VirualInstall' folder, just not copied to the actual game folder.I did move the game yesterday from normal HD to SSD (because of loading times), so I thought that was the reason, after reading this topic I guess it was not.(I did have NMM search for the new game folder location and that all seems to work). Furthermore, all of the texture files appear to be in the data folder already, so that doesn't appear to be it either. It is a mystery. cokonut
It gets more mysterious...I just installed 'crossbows of the commonwealth', it comes with an esp file and 3 folders (with extra subfolders)the esp file is copied to the game folderall folders/subfolders are also created, however, only the files within the 'materials' folder are actually copied to the game locationthe folders within 'meshes' and 'textures' are empty  so the actual files are not copied. I checked in File Explorer, all the folders have identical read/write rights... so IDK
