littlebil
This may have been already posted somewhere but i didn't find it so i am sharing. After deleting and editing my .ini file a few times, i started hunting the forums and such looking for a fix to the CTD caused by 1.5 patch. After noticing the UI mod cause, i removed them with NMM but still wasnt working correctly. On a off chance, i deleted the ", Interface\" part in the file location portion in "sResourceDataDirsFinal=" of my .ini file. Loaded my save game and it worked perfect! I run about 230 mods and have a lot of hours and settlements built, so i didnt want to start over... this saved me. If you have removed the UI mods and it is still crashing, try this. Also, i have update NMM and checked updates on my current mods, so i am thinking there may be some residual files from a previous UI mod hiding out causing issues. Bonus, after editing this, i put the "center 3rd person camera" info back in my INI file, no issues!! Good Luck
aryan826
your mods still work after update?
VagabondXar
You can manually re-enable your mods by opening the plugins.txt file and putting a * infront of each mod name. This will activate your mods again. People were doing this during 1.5 beta time and it worked. Same deal now with the public 1.5.157 patch. Oh and to those that get a CTD, it is due to UI mods. Now remember that the UI mods were file drop ins and not actual .ESP type mods. Some of the first mods when FO4 released. A lot of people probably forgot that you had to manually make folders and edit fallout ini files to enable that stuff. Just remove anything from interface folder in your Data root and you should have your CTD solved. If you don't you can't load old saves OR start new game. The new 1.5 patch has new UI elements within it yeh, that's why the old outdated UI mods/changes are crashing the game. Hope this helps others as not a lot of people are cluing into this or bothering to tell people on forums/reddit etc...
Cybordania
Vaga, tried that " * " fix. nada, Got rid of the check boxed in NMM but still had to manually check all mods in game itself. Obviously i screwed up somewhere but cant figure out where.
sirchet
Yeah, the only way I can get the mods to work are to enable them in the in-game menu every time I start the game. It's a pain in the butt and I hope it changes with the next update.

HoneyBearSquish
i just launch f4se through nmm and it works fine, and if you try to load a save and the masters are missing just exit, and re-launch through nmm. Hopefully they fix this mess with the next update. It's not a huge problem, but the majority of people seem to be completely destroyed by this update, and a bunch have stopped playing as a result. The combined effects of lackluster dlc, delayed C.K., patches breaking mods, and the general apathy/pessimism of mod authors/users is killing Fallout 4 fast. I will play this game until the day i die, I simply Love the settlement building ^^. I build stuff everyday, and post screenshots on my twitter for fun :P @HoneyBearSquish
whodat1
I'm starting to get the feeling that people running non-Beth mods who logged into Bethesda.net are the ones having the most problems. I'm running around 210 mods, after 1.5 update, I had to update NMM, DEF_UI and a number of other mods but my game seems stable and all but a handful of mods are working. I have not yet signed up for or logged into Bethesda.net and I don't think I'm going to after many of the posts I've been reading. The other thing is that I launch via F4SE.
