Game detects party member as present when they are not

This happens only to Alistair, Morrigan and Dog but to those, everywhere. Basically any scene which has an option for them to speak up if they are present does play even if they are not present. subsequently, if I enter the fade with an active party consisting of characters all but alistair, morrigan and dog, there are 6 quest entires for npcs lost in the fade.

I've tried numerous times to solve this but to no avail. The game properly detects Leliana, Sten, Shale, etc.

The only way to actually get them out of the cutscenes is to remove them with zz_dropparty and even if I do that, if I add a new version with zz_addparty Morrigan and keep her out of the party, she shows up again. I've already checked by disabling ALL my DLC and the whole override folder to see if it's a mod causing it and it's NOT a mod causing it. It must be some part of the core game.

This happens regardless of origin, class or gender, I tested. Reboot didn't help either.

I didn't try a reinstall yet because it takes forever but I will try that right now. ( Pity I have to reinstall all the damn mods again... )

 

 

edit: found the culprit. Shadows over Telia seems to cause NUMEROUS bugs just by having the .erf file in the package/core/data folder. All my bugs vanished right after I killed the mod.

Can't believe all the nonsense I went through because of it.

I had similar problems with Extra Dog Slot. I had to refresh my party completely, by removing pretty much everybody in it and reforming the party. Not easy to do in some areas, but I used the Party Picker from the metagame items mod to do the job. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13

reforming the party didn't help me. I discovered even more problems caused by the telia mod

some drop tables get messed up resulting in getting equipment of a much too high grade ( tier 6 for lvl 5 characters is ridiculous )

Also, the game constanrly shifts around and is unable to properly detect the gender of the PC

There is also a problem that if you have the companion comability core ( from ser gilmore ) and ser gilmore installed together with the telia mod, you will notice an INCREDIBLY delay ( depends on cpu, but I suffered 18 seconds stealing delay without steal_whole_inventory and 52 seconds with steal_whore_inventory mod ) when using skills ( primarily steal and spells)

Another problem is that the game gets confused what plot flags are set. This becomes apparent in "A Paragon of her Kind" where I encountered that the game suddenly forgets who you are siding with and what steps you already did.

Lastly, some cut scenes are inherently completely broken by this mod. ( namely one cutscene during the siege in the human noble origin, several during the city elf origin ((even worse here, the whole quest is broken if the game can't detect your gender properly )) and a few more in other locations )

If it's not compatible with Ser Gilmore NPC, I'd like to add it to the compatibility list, to advise people to not play with both mods together.

Shadows over Telia, a standalone module that causes countless errors just by being installed. ( errors persist even if you disable it in the DLC menu )
