Kuraikiba
I figured I might as well give a brief summary of my first Expansion for the African Combat Mod I made. Likely, clothing is next. This is the most complete, customizable, and expansive Hand to Hand overhaul for Oblivion. Instead of replacing hand to hand anims like standard replacers, this taps into your 1 and 2 hand anims to give a pool of up to 36+ new moves, with mods. Not only can you add this as a second overhaul, but you can add Unnecessary Violence and Deadly Reflex (5 or 6, they both work) as well. In addition, this is being updated on occasion, so new features will result. To what I know, this doesn't even conflict with anything. Using UV or Seph's Dual wield mod, the arm blocker can be used as a second fist for dual wield attacks. As well, you can choose to change your casting anims for touch, target, and self to more hand to hand themed ones. Anyway, below is the official description for the mod, released at this link: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39354 If anyone is wondering, I am willing to let people use the vault, they just have to ask me for permission before using it. And I must be credited as well. _____________________________________________________________Kuraikiba's African Combat Mod Expansion - Hand to Hand Overhaul v1.0----------------------------------------------------------------------- Requires latest Oblivion Patch, Shivering Isles, and ACM's latest, v1.4 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, so I was going to expand ACM a while ago, but couldn't get any takers for the anims and stuff. So, I figure, might as well do most of the grunt work myself. *ahem* Of all the Hand to Hand overhauls, this is not only the most expansive, but the most customizable one available, and with the most creative control. In the general area with the other ACM stuff from the origial, near Saliith's chest in the Arena, a large vault will be present. The vault is an original mesh by me, and inside are four items. Each one is a truly massive expansion of the hand to hand combat system.Whereas most H2H Overhauls merely replace animations, this allows for true creative control. The items work as such: Quick Hand to Hand: Utilizes the onehand anims for blade/blunt. To make the attack for this different, simply change the anims for the one handed anims. When the next version comes out, I will have more suitable movements and idles, to look more natural. Basically, whatever your blades do, your hand does. Heavy Hand to Hand: Same as the Quick hand to hand, except it utilizes the twohand anims for blade/blunt. Again, to make different, merely change your anims for twohand moves. As with the other, the movement and idles will be more natural in the next version. Arm Blocker: This will allow you to use your arm as a shield. You will be able to block, and your anims can be switched to make it better. With this and the Quick hand to hand, you can block without having a weapon in hand, so this works for posing too. Magicka Hands: Allows you to use staff-style casting. It will replace the anims for staff cast, but I'll choose a better anim next version. Also, this changes your stance. This allows for faster casts, and you can make your own enchantments for it in the CS, so it's fully customizable. ---------------------------------------------------- As well, the cast anims will be replaced for regular magic. The On Self is the "ground-pound" standing power attack. The On Target is a right straight punch, and the On Touch is a "hadouken" style palm heel strike. Each is designed to make the vanilla look cooler, but don't worry, it's totally optional. ---------------------------------------------------- Here is a brief list of features: - Fully customizable weapons to change hand to hand speed, damage, spell cast speed (staff hand to hand), and Armor Rating of arm block. All easily changed in the CS.- Any anims work with this, potentially 35+ new moves for hand to hand attacks.- Trains respective skills (blunt, blunt, then block) for One hand, Two hand, and Shield categories.- Potential for faster magic.- Allows hand to hand to finally be a viable option in fights. TO COME: - New movement and idles.- Auto dodge charm (Acrobatics +45) to get the dodge ability.- Weapons will be integrated as gauntlets, as well as keeping bare hand versions. Scripts will force these to equip the items, so it's more immersive.- Marksman skill weapon, using special throwing animations, will chuck weapons. -------------------------------------------------------- Recommended mods (Personally, I mix things up): One hand DMC anim replacerKSTN Spear Mod (for jabs, mainly) Two hand KSTN Heavy Blade Stance Mod (VERY highly recommended, quite stylish moves)Compatible with DR5 and UV Power Attacks FF Weapon Skill Attack replacerSeph's Hand to Hand Replacer Dodges Seph's True Acrobatics ----------------------------------------------------------- FAQ Q: I can't drop these! A: Common thing with quest items, isn't it? Q: How does this work? A: The weapons are very tiny objects hidden in the hand. You don't see them, so it looks natural. Small enough to not be seen, big enough to count as a weapon. Q: Will Marksman be done? This could be used to throw arrows or darts! A: Indeed it could. I'd do it if I had the animations. To be honest, I'd actually do this as spells. It won't train marksman, but it will work. I'll make 5 weapons maybe. Q: Where are these found? A: In a vault, near the Arena hopefuls' chest. You really can't miss it... Q: My staff casts weird... my NORMAL staff. A: Price to pay for this. Don't worry, will fix it up next version. ------------------------------------------------------------------- This is probably my most expansive mod yet, but I'm not providing anims. You can find plenty on your own.If you need tech help, or want something extra, just PC me on the Nexus Chat. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Who to credit... Likely the people commenting on a pic of mine. Wouldn't have gotten the idea had I not been dabbling in NIFs as a result. Enjoy, endorse, comment, and download. Well, reverse the order of that.
