whiteknight7
I have the steam GOTY deluxe version of oblivion. Running windows 7. Everything was running great with the mods i have installed (see list below) until i installed darnified ui. When i installed it in OBMM it said there was a conflict. I may be incorrect but doesn't realistic leveling modify the ui in some way? Anyhow, that was my thinking so i deactivated realistic leveling and activated darnified ui. Now every time i attempt to start the game it crashes on the Bethesda screen. I have since uninstalled darnified ui, re-activated realistic leveling, verified the integrity of the cache in steam and googled for about three hours trying to find a solution. Thanks a lot for any help. list of mods: these were all working fine togetherCM partnersvaernlor manoralternative start by shipmidas spellsHGEC bodyIDKRRR_KFME4reva CM partner sahrealistic leveling plus all of the DLC obviously
samadchaz
Darnified UI esp cant just deactivated(on the left hand side of OBMM).You have to put"off" in OBMM on the right side screen(turned blue).so whatever files it copies in the "menus" folder also get removedother thing is please take a snapshot of OBMM->Utilities->archive invalidation(window) and post here. Tomlong54210
Did you remember to apply your Darn UI font tweaks in the Oblivion.ini. That could cause a crash on load, and, yes, RL does modify some menus. UI conflicts can certainly cause crashes. Make sure you didn't override anything important in DarN. --Tomlong54210 Edit: @samadchaz: What do you mean by "off"? Of course you can uninstall DarN by deactivating the OMOD... Edit: @whiteknight7: Fix your load order with BOSS.
whiteknight7
Ok it was a problem with the font tweaks in oblivion.ini. I deactivated RL, re-installed Darn UI, made sure the font tweaks were correct, and re-ordered with BOSS. Works great now. THANKS EVERYONE!
