Mod List Question

Greetings fellow gamers. I recently (finally!) got a new computer that actually allows me to run current games. I have Oblivion (because I loved Morrowind!) But I have disappointed so far with the level of immersion in vanilla Oblivion. It has the real feeling of a hack and slash. A first person stabber if you will. It seems to me that I haven't really found a group of mods that really immerses me into the universe and gives the game a better RPG feel. I have ran a bunch but none of them seemed to work to well. I don't know if the quality of modding is still low as people are still learning how to mod. The game isn't really new anymore. Or if I just don't know what to use. So I was wondering if people would share lists of any size of mods they use to make the game better.

PS. I hate the new placing system, great for trashing a room, stinky for placing your trophies of war.

I installed this mod and this mod. I love both. They're really well made, except for two problems. The first one uses the word "things" too much and the second mod's included quest has text that's too fast. Other than that, they're my favorite mods right now. If you decide to get the second one, be sure to start a new game, and I suggest using a Wood Elf character.
