Tomlong54210
Hello there, I'm not a modder either, but I think you need to modify the normal map in order to reduce the shininess. Good luck!--Tomlong54210

No help at all , i did everything the wiki said for me to , and once i placed the textures on the meshes in Nifskope they were the wrong color. It had changed my dark grey and red to a shitty blue color. EDIT: I went over it again and again until i realized i was skipping a very important part, saving it as a xx_n.dds no as a xx.dds , im retarded sometimes what can i say! Candex
hehe, well I'm not very experienced with normal maps, but it sounds like you replaced your texture with the normal map. Are you sure you saved your normal map just the same as the texture but with the _n? IE: armortexture.dds, and armortexture_n.dds? Nifskope is not very good at rendering normal maps. Put the colour texture you want on your mesh, make sure the altered normal map is saved in the same folder and has the same name, and go check it in-game. I hope that helps. EDIT:Arghhh just one minute difference.... sorry for the useless answer.... dont worry I'm retard too... :teehee: Edited July 16, 2011 by Candex
