Sudden mod failure

I played quite a bit yesterday (May 1) and tried to boot up today without changing any mods (May 2) and suddenly many stopped working. There was no warning that I was loading with missing content so I unfortunately have overwritten my saves with many resources just gone. I suspect that steam may have just ran an update without me knowing (I already had 1.5)

 

In settlement build mode my entire structures category is gone and the Homemaker mod's category as well. Every other category has all associated assets still available and other custom categories are available. My hair mod Azar Ponytail Hairstyles was removed (so bald now) using showlooksmenu I can't even select hair. Legendary Modifications and Armorsmith Extended were also cut; so all equipment I had changed using those mods reverted to their original state, though I was able to put it all back together (assets like Effect Chips had been removed from my storage). I was using Nuka Bench Fusion Core Overhaul, with a custom core in the power armor I was using; the core continued to work fine until I got out of the armor, then it just vanished. When structures and Homemaker were missing I tried disabling and reloading Homemaker, putting it last in load order; but it was still missing from the build menu and my Scrap Everything mod suddenly stopped working (originally scrapped trash had still been gone when I loaded, the trash only reappeared after loading up trying to debug Homemaker).

 

I'm simply at a loss of what is happening here. I've disabled and reloaded everything but something I can't determine must have changed. NMM has been acting up as well, randomly disabling all plugins (Mods remain installed) and the profile settings don't seem to function properly.

You might look at the other posts in this thread, a good bit of advice has been posted already. In your case you may have experienced the plugins.txt bug and now ur save is fried. Hopefully you have backups.
