sabertoothleopard Posted May 3, 2016 Share Posted May 3, 2016 I'm trying to make a new "settlement" inside Vault 111 But when I place the workbench in the cell crafted items are invisible and things like the vault elevator are invisible as well :/ Anyone know why this might be? I have a similar issue with a multi-floor interior cell. i've noticed that if you go outside and come back in again objects you placed that were inivisible are now visible. does that also happen for you? in mine there is one area, the highest most room, which you can build in without issue, but everywhere else nowhere, so I have been asking around if it's related to ground level or some kind of "depth" of cell setting but no response yet. i've been trying to fix/find a fix for it on and off for about a month now but no luck. think I've run out of leads too...location, encounter zone, loctypes, different workbenches, the lot... going exterior and back in again and them showing up is a new clue but I don't know what it means...!! maybe someone else can connect the dots? speedynl Posted July 21, 2016 Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) it happens in diffrent cells reason unknown, i had that with the cell from olivia, if you spam a wb in there it works fine, but put 1 true ck it f'up the hole cell, you can build everything but its invisible, maybe you have to run combined again to make it hole again, never bothered to find a solution for it though but maybe you are right and have it to do with xx floor dept, olivia is kind of deep to, also 1 of the unused cells did the same thing but was also kind of deep updatea workaround for it is, make a new cell give it any name, go to the cell/interior you wana use zoom out till you see everything right click and make sure you select everything hit copy, go to your new cell and paste the hole interior there, did it with olivia and i be damn i can build everything like it should, even after putting a wb in there true ck and removed some stuff, only problem you can run in to is that some parts don't have collision but those cells where not mend to build in anyway but still don't know wat cause this invisible stuff and or wat break the cell/interior if you have the cell/interior working like intended you can swap it with the original you only have to change the name to the original(you can delete the original if you want to, or rename it)) and link the doors again Edited July 22, 2016 by speedynl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I will give that a go, thanks! ps. will that also copy the navmesh? edit: cool that worked! now the objects are showing, thanks for the workaround! don't know if navmesh copy over you have to check that, but i assume it do, (being lazy i din't check it myself) :laugh: mm i think if the cell/interior works like intended you can delete the interior from the original and copy/paste the working 1 back to the original(only thing that can happens is, it break again, but that should mean the cells/interior beth made are not that good, or limited to something), din't think of that before, should not make a different i ques, ( if navmesh is copy over to ), you prolly need to check the portals if they still works like intended but it should with other words copy/paste the original to a new cell, delete everything in the original, copy/paste back the copy, and see wat happens, if its f'up again then there is something with those cells beth make that don't allow changes in the cell, but the big question is wat updateques wat, copy/paste the copy back to the original f'up the cell complete, so i have something to do with setting in those cellsonly way to get it working like intended use the new cell you made, disable the portals in the original, and enable/connect new in your new cell played a bit more with it, giving the new cell the same name/location/encounter(conneting the doors) as original and deleted the original cell result in the wb don't show up at all, kind of weird, and i don't know wat cause it, i'm lost here typical beth stuff Edited July 22, 2016 by speedynl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
