foxgrin
Radrusty created 'Rangers MansionDisplay House' and asked if anyone was interested in an empty version of the house. He then put out the mod 'Empty House Ready to Decorate'. People who enjoy using the mods, 'Imperial Furniture Store' and 'Decorator Assistant' are always in search of nice looking empty houses to decorate and many of them dl his mod. I dl both of his houses and they look great. I'm having lots of fun decorating the empty version but would love some other houses to decorate too. His house is gorgeous but has a unique look that doesn't lend itself to ALL styles of decor. None of the houses would, that's why we (in-game decorators) need a variety of homes to decorate. I've used the 'empty houses' mod that allows you to make the vanilla houses empty, but many of them have cruddy looking walls and look horrible from outside too. It's impossible to completely cover the bad looking walls in tapestries and it's kinda like putting a gorgeous diamond in a plastic ring setting. The better looking houses are nice but besides the Skingrad one there aren't any nearly as grand (in size) as many of the modded homes. I realize you don't get as many dl from empty houses but there ARE people besides me who want these. Plus, if you provide both a furnished and UN-furnished version you will get more dl than if you only offer the furnished one and people (like me) will love you for it:<)
tsolless
You can always use the CS to unfurnish it. It doesn't take very long at all.

By the CS do you mean the console you bring up by hitting ~ in the game? Or do you mean the utility modders use to help them create mods?
Grond Vern
CS refers to the TES4 Construction Set, so its the modding utility.I realize you don't get as many dl from empty houses but there ARE people besides me who want these. There's something i've never done before, maybe the world could use another habitation.

There's something i've never done before, maybe the world could use another habitation. Thanx for clearing that up. I've dl the CS and have emptied out a couple of modded houses. Though most of our dl mods don't give thier interior cells the same names as thier mod name so those cells I can't find to mod (so far.) But there are a few that do have the same or similar names and those are the ones I'll work on for now. These are only for personal use since I don't want to get in trouble for changing other people's mods w/o thier permission. After spending the better part of a day just learning how to empty an already created house mod, add a fire and change the ambient lighting (w/o totally messing up the existing mod) I can really appreciate the effort you and other modders put in to these more complex mods that I can't even dream of attempting yet. o_O Looking forward to any new mods you create, house or otherwise. Thanx.
foxgrin
You can always use the CS to unfurnish it. It doesn't take very long at all. Thanx for the suggestion. As of yesterday that's exactly what I've been doing (for myself and my husband.) Can't upload them for dl since I don't have permission to alter these house mods and I don't know how to create or upload my own yet. Some people can't (or won't) mod and may appreciate empty versions of new house mods by modders willing to create and share them. Who knows, maybe even a few by me or my husband someday. :)
