gingy97
i am trying to make a mod that is a home hidden in a mountain for an assassin/thief character and i had an idea to make a waterfall with a cave behind to put horses and other mounts although all the things i have tried to make a cave have failed so i would like to know: is it possible to make a cave were its basically just a hole in the mountain with the rest of the mountain on top basically this:http://freshhappiness.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/waterfalls2.jpgbut with the waterfall covering it more
JackePacke
Sorry, but I don't think that's possible. The cave is located in an exterior, therefor, you must place a door there in order to enter the cave-interior, wich makes it impossible to do this. bencebence
Hmm, if I understand well, it shouldn't be hard to make.Firstly you should lower a piece of a mountain where you want your hideout to be. Then place rock objects over that lowered place at the height of your hideout. Then lastly add a waterfal object at the entrance of the 'cave'.Also there is another way, where the horses wouldn't be in the cave, just near it, then you should place a dungeons entrance at the 'cave's' entrance and make the hideout in a custom cell.(In my opinion the second is way more easier :P)

David Brasher
The exterior landform tiles may be warped vertically, (You can make things like hills and depressions) but they may not be warped horizontally (making overhangs and caves.) So like bencebence says, you will not make your cave with the landscape editor, but with object placement. You will build your cave on top of the ground and use things like boulders to make it look like there is ground on top of it. You may have to use dozens and dozens of boulders, but the effect can come out looking pretty good. The usual approach would be to make the cave out of nothing but boulders, but another option would be to lay cave architectural tiles on the surface of the ground, and then cover all the sharp edges at the mouth of the cave with boulders for a smooth and orderly transition, and then roof over the whole thing with boulders to make a new ground surface for people to walk on above your cave. When it rains, it will rain inside your cave and get your horses wet. But that is no big deal.
