Goxy287
My first post here, so i have a request if anybody is willing to do it.I thought i'd be a really cool idea to port Alphonse Elric's armor from Fullmetal Alchemist series as a power armor set.Although it's not exactly lore friendly or accurate since Alphonse's armor is technically a body armour without space for a power armor frame to fit inside it, and does not fit into fallout universe, but i think i'd still be cool. Reference picture: http://orig15.deviantart.net/e0a2/f/2014/118/b/a/alphonse_elric_by_fonteart-d7gdl97.jpg (Credit: Fonteart on Deviantart http://fonteart.deviantart.com/art/Alphonse-Elric-450771163 ) Here's some models i've found which are free to download: http://houay2005.deviantart.com/art/Alphonse-Elric-Armor-364368998 i converted that one to a .obj with pdotools https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bw4SA6c9XZTyUW5QazBDdTRfc3c/edit and i converted this one with the 3d object converter 4.80 I tried my best at converting these models with nifskope to fallout 4 but i just don't understand how nifskope works. Besides i'm a novice when it comes to modeling and don't even know if a skeleton is needed and how to attach it to a model etc. I have few models i've found free for download on deviantart, here's the links: Here's a screenshot of it arranged in blender on top of the power armor frame. Though it looks bad, i'll put it here so you get the idea: http://i.imgur.com/QFdNjt1.png I don't like asking people stuff like this for free but i'm unemployed and really can't offer you any compensation. So if you're a fan of the series, a modder who know how to do this, with free time, or both, i'll put this here if anybody wants to give it a try. CoreyN11388
Heck yes!! Also, even if in the end it is not determined to be lore, who says it can't be attempted? I mean, I guess by definition, if it hasn't been officially said/written, then it's not lore. However, who knows if other countries could have their own attempts of anything and everything? This could be considered like, a prototype armor from India. Sure, no one can say it is lore without having evidence pointing to that being the case, but they also can't say it isn't possibly lore without evidence saying it isn't. Yeah true, but i can't help but wonder if whoever designed this armor for the series has taken inspiration from any real life armor counter parts, or if even armor such as this is real (though i doubt it), Sorry for not replying sooner btw, not active much on these forums. Hell, whose to say Full Metal Alchemist still doesn't exist in this timeline. This could have been created as some kind of collaboration effort to raise morale in Japan using something that is relatively (by their standards) old and familiar, and create solidarity in US-Japanese relations. Considering that Japan would be a jumping off point for any US troops invading China at the time, it wouldn't be that far fetched and If civilian companies can get T-51 parts and frames as a form of marketing, why can't US allies?
