HOW DO I DO THIS?

i have a mod called deathclaw hunter armor and then i saw a video where somebody was using the armor and the spartan pants, it looks far better but when i decided to do it didn't work. the torso part of the armor always replace the pants... without the torso part the pants are fine and i can put the other pieces on top of them, but if i put the torso part the pants disappear... i was told i had to batch the 2 sets (the deathclaw armor and the spartan pants) with the same specifications but i did that and nothing changed.

for reference this is what i'm trying to achieve:

I'm not an expert or anything, but it sounds like they're both using the same body slot.

Try opening the mods with FOEdit (what I've been using) or the Creation Kit (haven't gotten around to fooling with it yet). For FO4Edit, the file needs to be in the game directory for the application to detect it.

Look at the armor file in question and it should list the body slot to which it has been assigned (not sure where on the page that info would be cuz I've never had reason to look for it as of yet).

If you can see it, you can change it. Save the change (ctrl+s in FO4Edit) and yo should be good to go. Not sure which slot to use? Either experiment or Google it (cuz... I don't know).

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, I'll answer as best as I can.

EDIT: Um, if you don't care about using backpacks or personal jet packs with this particular character, reassign the deathclaw armor to slot 54 or 55.
