Launius
I used to use Nifskope and Blender to mod FO3 and New Vegas, but I kind of fell off after a couple of years. Now I'm trying to work my way back into modding with Nifskope 2.0 for Fallout 4. Right now the only thing I'm trying to do is set up a vanilla machete to be equipped on the back. I'm working from Friffy's exceptional Holstered Weapons mod. There is already a model for a machete on back, but it uses the Kremvh's Tooth blade. I want the stock or serrated blade. I think I remember with New Vegas (mind you, I have a terrible memory), I could copy just the mesh--in this case the vanilla blade--and paste over another mesh--Kremvh's Tooth Blade--while still preserving the transform data, texture paths, applied bones, and so on, of the original. Is this still possible with Nifskope 2.0? Is there a better utility for messing with models in FO4? Lol, I make no apologies for my dumb questions, I gotta start somewhere... ::sigh:: ...again. Launius
Just noticed that the first thread gives a list of tutorials for assorted things. I'm gonna check out some of the tutorials there and see if maybe I can learn something. God forgive me for not reading before posting.
