Shnozberrys
My Nmm didnt have this problem a couple months ago i was running mods just fine, now not only cant the NMM not find the witcher 3 game with me linking the directory, the mods will not enable if i put them manually in the mods folder or install them with the manager. has anyone else had this problem or know a fix for this? I am using a different HDD to play the game that is different from the one NMM is installed on but if i try to use the NMM link option the program crashes. Slavemaster4u
I don't personally use a mod manager with TW3. But do know that if you manually download a mod, then extract into your mod folder. That mods are always enabled once in mod directory. Unlike other games TW3 mods are always loaded. The only way to disable a mod is to remove it from mod folder. Also always start a new game after any new mod installed. TW3 has issues with loading new mods in a saved game. Though there is a partial work around, using console commands, to get new mods working on a saved game. But doesn't always work. Summary: Manually download mods for TW3. And manually extract into your mod folder. And start new game. Hope this helps.
Josevi
I have that problem too. The NMM don´t recognizes the .exe in the x64 directory and you can install all the mods you want, that if the NMM don´t opens the correct file, they will not work never. W3 mods need no activation. Once in mod folder they will load. Just remember to unzip first. Also make sure the mod folder name starts with "mod" , without quotes.Easy install;1 Manual download2 extract the zipped folder3 copy/paste or move extracted folder to Witcher 3 root directory->mods4 Start new gameDone

TOSH359
Hey guys, i dont want to start a new topic on this one so i directly ask here. I reinstalled my game today, because of some mistakes i did with the original version, and i was too lazy to fix them directly. So i deinstalled my game, which was on my hdd.I reinstalled it into the gog galaxy dictionary this time on my ssd, in programms(x86).After i did that i wantet to set my mods up again, which worked perfectly fine prior. But after the reinstallation the mods dont work anymore, i installed them the same way. Does that have something to do with the new location?I should not have am i right?I mean the mods are at the same location, a folder named "Mods" in my tw3 dictionary. Well, as our friend says, it´s suppossed to put them there and thats all... isn´t working for me. The unique thing I made work is to change the color of the first armor you wear. I haven´t seen nothing more working... not now and not ever
ddavies10693
Note that a lot of mods are now incompatible with the new update. They may not be working because of that, rather than any actual issue yourself. I have found that installing mods with NMM for this game works completely fine as long as you don't divide the games and NMM between 2 different hard drives. Between 2 partitions of the same hard drive is fine (C:\ and D:\ for example), but not 2 completely separate ones, such as in internal and external drive.
