l snake1001
Right one thing oblivion was awsome and i can't wait for the next installement but in the next game i'd like to see more realism like your character ageing been able to get married have kids and when your character dies of old age you take on the role of your child. now about guild's who thought it was to easy to become arch mage i did i reckon it should take more stuff light advancement tests to see if your character is ready to move on to the next set of test's and finally randomly genarated quest's how many of you have completed all of the quest's expansion's i have with this idea it could add more depth to your experience but i wanna know what ideas you'd like in elderscroll's V
Sypron
I think there are already threads for this...... I think the "married and kids" idea is bad. They already said why they don't want to put kids in the game. If there are kids you can kill them. If you can kill them the rating goes up to MA15+/R18 because of child murder. Plus, if there is an ageing factor that puts a limited time on your file, which means you have to rush to do all the stuff you want to do before dieing, and nobody likes beeing FORCED to rush and miss out all the relaxing. ninja_lord666
If you're going to age by Oblivion standards, then you might as well not age at all. Oblivion time is only 30 times faster, so it would take 730 hours of nonstop gameplay (without waiting or resting) to advance one year. Then if you do add the waiting and resting, thats only about 600 hours of nonstop gameplay. However, no one could possibly play Oblivion nonstop for 600 hours. Most people play about 4-10 hours a day. Lets say you play 10 hours every day. It would take you about 60 days to advance one year, one year! Now, lets say you chose Imperial as your race. I'd say you're about 20 when the game starts, so it'll take you about 40 years to get old, thats about 2400 days or over 6 years. No one is going to play the game for 6 years. Lets say, however, you chose Dunmer as your race; they can live to be over 300 years old. Do you really want to play for about 18000 days ( about 49 years)? Frankly, in 49 years, I plan to be retired, and I'll be 17 in a month. If you're going to have aging, it has to be at an increased rate. Like about ten times faster that Oblivion. Then, it would only take about 7 month for an Imperial to age, and 4.9 years for a dunmer. The only problem is, that wouldn't be very realistic. Also, one look at the saved games folder in TESSource will tell you that people care about how their characters look and don't want their beautiful character to become old and sh*tty looking. That's the main reason most people aren't vampires. In conclusion, aging in TES V would either be a. a complete waste of coding or b. a very, very bad thing. Sypron
Even if it takes years of real game play I don't like that idea that there is a cap on your game, no matter how long you play. Fable had one, but no matter how fast you play you always end up the same age by the end. And no one likes beeing an 80yr old trying to look evil.
