Just a quick question to all the experienced construction set users. I have figured out a LOT of things, save for one...

 

could someone PLEASE tell me how you move the starting location for a brand new character?

You can move the marker to somewhere different within the interior cell. But you can't change the starting cell. That has to be the Imperial Dungeon, it's hard coded in.

I think what some alt start mods do is use

 

Player.MoveTo AAMyCustomStartXMarkerHeading

 

in a quest script that runs once right at the beginning of the game. You could put this new X Marker heading anywhere you please.
