CrimsonGuardian
Alright, so many times I install animation mods and it seems next to impossible for me to get rid of them. My most recent problem comes from the Seductive Idle mod. I installed it because I always thought the way females walked looked silly. Problem is, the male characters also started walking that way. I tried uninstalling the mod and deleting its file but it wouldn't work. I even uninstalled the game and it's still there. How do I get rid of it? Some help would be appreciated. Thanks. Browse to "Data\meshes\characters\_male" in your Oblivion directory, cut and paste all files ending in .kf to a backup folder outside of your Oblivion directory. Test. CrimsonGuardian
Alright, done, what should I do next?
GixTheMage
Start Oblivion and see if it persists. That's what "test" means.
CrimsonGuardian
Yeah it persists. Why would it stop? Edit: I deleted the whole _male folder and it stopped. Won't the deletion of that folder cause a lot of problems? Edited July 19, 2011 by CrimsonGuardian
GixTheMage
I don't know but Spiderman over there thought it would help. EDIT-Nope, no problems (with the vanilla game at least) All vanilla animations are inside a .bsa (archive of sorts) and are eventually overwritten by mods. If the game does not find a modded file then it loads the vanilla one from the archive. If some mod you have installed has custom animations you will have to reinstall the mod.
