skater983
I am running a 2.8 GHz quad core AMD processor with an NVIDIA GTX 465 1GB so I don't feel like I should be having any problems running this game. But no matter what graphics setings I have it set to or what mods I install it never stops stuttering. Every two seconds or so it will just seem to skip forward in time a half of a second. I've tried several mod fixes (Oblivion stutter removal, operation optimization, streamline) and none of them did anything. Even when I run the game with a clean vanilla install with the graphics all the way down it persists. Any help or advice?' Edit: One other thing, I noticed that the only edit I've ever done that had any noticeable effect was turning off sound and music in the ini. It didn't remove the stuttering but it made it stutter in a completely uniform fashion. As in the stutter was completely consistent instead of random. That leads me to believe the issue may be sound car related. I don't have a dedicated sound card as I thought it unnecessary since my mobo has one integrated.. roquefort
Sounds like frame-skipping, which has been a problem for many people over time. Happened to me recently after a driver update, and I fixed it by removing the official video drivers & installing Omega ones. I also use an integrated sound card. A dedicated one would definitely be a better idea though..
