Amnesia: The Dark Decent....???

You may wet yourself, but you won't regret it! I played it in the dark, lights turned off, headphones on and volume up - it's scared the living hell out of me sometimes, but I had tons of fun and I don't I've ever gotten as immersed in a game as I got playing Amnesia.

 

I second that. I only play Amnesia after midnight, headphones, and all of the lights out.

Amnesia is without a doubt my favourite game of all time. You may crap yourself out of fear, but you certainly won't regret playing the game. If anything you WANT to play it at night because it is a lot more immersive then and, lets face it, the main selling point of the game is the atmosphere it creates. The puzzle oriented gameplay can be found in any point and click adventure game.

Amnesia is probably one of the scariest games released imho. Mostly because you don't have a weapon to fill the enemy up with holes.
