Haukaido
I started having VATS freezes on a lvl 52 survival character last weekend after having used VATS extensively prior with no issues. Less than 30 seconds of Googleing pointed me to this post on the Steam forums that seems to have resolved it for me: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/135514649163438936/?ctp=2#c2217311444330717281 After adding the described entry to my .ini with a value of 4 (for my quad-core processor) I've had zero VATS freezes after at least another 6-7 hours of game time. YMMV, and I make no claims it will help you but it might be worth testing.I have tried that, I inserted this under my [General] section and it solved the issue! iNumHWThreads=2 Also , can I ask why you put 4 instead of 2 , what's the difference? (quad-core processor) Edited August 11, 2017 by MrPandaz

dikr
The fix I found was right here on the Nexus! Only not advertised as such. It's the 'Quiet Vats' mod from 5poiler: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11468/? Apparently the freezing is related to the vanilla sound effects or possibly the load order of vanilla code in modded games. I haven't frozen for hours since playing with this mod and others are reporting the same. Try it! Edited August 12, 2017 by dikr
Freso
I'd like to point out that 1- I'm never hungry 2- I'm never thirsty 3- I'm never sick 4- I'm never tired (because I always make sure to sleep while I fast travel to the institute and always walk around packed with food and antibiotics) Does this mean that you never get they "you're thirsty" etc. messages, or that you act on them as soon as you get them?
