adman85
I was just looking for peoples opinion on the new official DLC, Old World Blues. What do you think of it so far if you haven't completed it. My main question is.. Is the big MT actually BIG? Or is that just the namesake? Also is it all contained in a new worldspace? Whats the deal with getting in and out? I'm curious, as I'm sure a lot of people a smashing their way through it as we speak. I'd like to see some screenies if thats ok too.. Like of the map and whatnot.. If thats cool of course. Edited July 21, 2011 by adman85
Lateralizm
1. The Big MT IS huge.2. My favorite add-on so far, mainly because you get an amazing home.3. Getting in and out is done by a Teleport Gun (mod-inspired I assume)4. Yes, it is a new worldspace.I would recommend this DLC not only because it is very enjoyable and has a lot of rewards, but also because I feel like it will become a HUGE modder's resource. adman85
"1. The Big MT IS huge." That's what i'm talking about! That may just be enough for me to download it. Thanks Blacklight!
Dan3345
Yeah its an awesome dlc, Im sad to say the player home the developers created puts most of the modders homes to shame.
someguynamedjoe
I'm looking forward to living in the Sink. It would be the perfect place to lead a custom faction... quite possibly accomplished by reprogramming Mobius' robots?
adman85
Finally saw an image of the world map in a youtube video, (the guys ran around the facility for 20 mins in part 1 and 2 before finally deciding to look at the world map, seemingly accidentally, for a split second in the 3rd part... What a waste of 30 minutes!) and yes it does look huge. And I assume there are a LOT of interiors too by the look, that is really tempting. I do like a big sandbox. P.S. Who plays for that long without looking at the map?
Lateralizm
Yeah, there really is a lot to do in it, and as Dan3345 said, it does put a lot of modder's homes to shame. Given they did use a lot of ideas that modders use in the creation of a player home, they still made it better, and more interactive. I finished the main quest, but still have a fair amount of this DLC to do.
jpmntn
dose the player home beat underground hideout, cause that's the best thing iv seen in fallout.

Thanks Blacklight! why are you said to hear the the makers of the game can make a better home then modders? They obviously have been watching the modding community, so kudos to them. jhardingame
Honestly, I think Old World Blues has been the best DLC so far out of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. a lot of the new designs are awesome, and the dialouge is hilarious. Plus, the stealth tests were awesome, first time I've seen stealth actually being properly implemented in a quest for Fo3/New Vegas.
